  • is a research-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and commercializes innovative medicines in areas of unmet medical need
  • gilead’s therapeutic areas of focus include HIV/AIDS, liver diseases, cancer and serious respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
  • occasional travel to Cambridge, as well as other Gilead sites is expected

Requirements

  • ACA Qualified, or equivalent
  • experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry a plus
  • knowledge of UK taxation and compliance, or willingness and enthusiasm to learn
  • ability to apply accounting and tax knowledge to daily operations and projects
  • ability to understand processes, systems and controls and think through implications
  • strong communication, networking and influencing skills – effectively manage a variety of stakeholders at all levels; provide proactive, clear communications
  • detail-oriented with excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • strong technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP required, knowledge of US GAAP helpful but not essential, familiar with all key aspects of controllership in a listed company
