Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 year’s book-keeping/accounting experience
  • experience in using Xero Accounting Software
  • experience in using Moneysoft for Payroll is advisable but not essential
  • good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errors
  • multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and other team members
  • communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms
  • excellent literacy and numeracy skills

Responsibility

  • processing and completing Payroll for a small team of employees
  • nest Pension submissions and updates
  • supporting the Office Administrator and Consultants to ensure all invoices are raised in a timely manner
  • weekly Bank reconciliation and reporting of any inconsistencies
  • producing the monthly and quarterly sales profit and loss and other financial reports including HMRC returns
  • assisting in the updating of cash flow reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • reviewing the financial reports and forecast with the business owner – face to face
  • sending monthly statements to the clients
