Responsibility

  • to support the development, implementation, maintenance and review of all Occupational Health and Wellbeing matters, absence management strategies and departmental policies
  • key relationships include Executive and Management teams, HR, Health & Safety and external providers including physiotherapists, counsellors and Occupational Health Physicians
  • develop and implement long and short-term objectives for Occupational Health
  • the post-holder will have a main base of work but will be expected to travel to other sites
  • develop and deliver the Health Surveillance programme for all relevant departments. Write reports on findings to HSE and management team members
  • working with the HSE Department regarding risk assessments and other inter-related matters
  • advise regarding health matters related to working environment
  • polypipe Building Products are currently recruiting on behalf of Genuit Group for an Occupational Health Advisor to work in Doncaster

Requirements

  • registered Nurse qualification is essential for this
  • A qualification in HAVS would be desirable
  • experience of working within a factory/manufacturing environment with a diverse workforce is desirable
  • experience in work areas such as management referrals, health assessments and surveillance, individual case management and workplace assessment
  • the ability to produce clear and concise reports to the intended audience
  • occupational Health qualification is desirable, but candidates with a strong background in Occupational Health, candidates with relevant transferrable skills or candidates willing to learn new skills and undertake training would be considered
  • be able to identify key health issues and assist in the development and provision of procedures and solutions
  • excellent written and oral communication skills and the drive and vision to support the Company’s commitment to the health of its employees
