Requirements
- bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- proven experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably in a supervisory role
- strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- excellent organizational and time-management skills
- proven experience as an Account Administrator or in a similar role within finance or accounting
- proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- strong attention to detail and accuracy
- strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles
Responsibility
- supervise and mentor accounting clerks and bookkeepers, providing guidance and support as needed
- oversee the processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
- manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor and customer communication
- reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- prepare and analyse financial reports and assist with budgeting processes
- maintain accurate and organized financial records
- implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations
- collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes
