Responsibility
- a. Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, locations, and transactions
- b. Conduct regular stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
- a. Receiving incoming shipments, verifying their contents, and inspecting for damages or discrepancies
- c. Monitor and report on stock levels, recommending reorder points and quantities
- b. Recording and organising inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts through regular stocktaking
- d. Coordinate with commercial, purchasing and finance departments to reconcile purchase orders, invoices, GRNs and receipts
- c. Managing stock movements, including issuing and receiving goods, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping i.e. Goods Received Notices
- e. Ensure compliance with storage and handling requirements for different types of goods
Requirements
- a. Certification or training in warehouse management or inventory control
- a. Proven experience as a Stores Person or in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse environment
- b. Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, safely and efficiently
- b. Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
- c. Familiarity with lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies
- c. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- d. First Aid certification or training
- d. Proficient in using computer systems and inventory management software
