- preparing the bodywork of the vehicle
- using the latest computer technology and spectro equipment to mix paint
- following the correct process when prepping, priming, painting and polishing ensuring the highest standard is achieved
- maintaining and cleaning equipment
- storing paints in the correct conditions
- keeping all work areas clean and tidy
- responsible for ensuring your own material consumption is kept to a minimum
Requirements
- NVQ or ATA approve qualification preferred
- A passion for cars
- ability to apply custom paint methods
- ability to conduct vehicle body repair work, i.e. panel realignment and filler repairs
- ability to apply 3 stage pearls and candy colours
- ability to strip and fit parts and panels on a wide range of vehicles
- high standard preparation skills
- experience of welding and fabrication
