Responsibility

  • assist with management of day-to-day center operational procedures, ensuring cost-effective safe welcoming, clean and well-maintained environment
  • serve as knowledgeable resource related to local programs and services offered and available at area USO centers
  • meet, greet, orient and assist visitors and guests
  • supervise volunteers for general and program activities including recruitment, scheduling, oversight, training, development and recognition. Assist with supervision of USO staff
  • operate center within approved budgetary guidelines, including cash handling
  • maintain accurate inventory of supplies and assets
  • provide information for consolidated financial, operational and statistical reports as requested
  • maintain working relationships with US Military and local business community leadership to enhance awareness and generate financial/in-kind support of the USO mission as well as local operations, program and service delivery

Responsibility

  • diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician
  • promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling
  • communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization
  • perform Nurse Practitioner services in support of the Deployment Related Health Assessments and/or the Base Operational Medicine Clinic as required
