Working hours
- part-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- perform routine and reactive maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry work
- keeping the grounds and gardens looking neat and tidy
- conduct regular audits and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe and well-functioning home
- respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, residents and the maintenance manager
- collaborate with the maintenance manager to address any maintenance-related concerns
- maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
- be part of an on-call rota for out of hours emergencies
- ensure that all critical systems and services such as drainage, water, lighting, heating, fire, and related alarm systems are functioning appropriately
Requirements
- proven experience as a Maintenance Man, preferably in a similar setting
- strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- good communication skills
- qualified in a trade would be beneficial but is not essential
- full driving licence with access to your own vehicle is required for this position
