Responsibility
we are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Deputy Manager for our Outstanding, Reggio Emilia inspired nursery
collaborate closely with the nursery manager to ensure the smooth operation of our Reggio Emilia inspired nursery
foster a stimulating and nurturing environment that encourages children's natural curiosity, creativity, and exploration
demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach, and consistently apply this philosophy to enhance children's learning experiences
lead and inspire our team of diverse staff members, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their continuous professional development
work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to maintain effective communication and build strong relationships
this is a full time and permanent position and will also include the covering of the maternity leave of our substantive manager
oversee daily operations, including planning and implementing activities, maintaining a safe environment, and adhering to relevant regulations and policies
Requirements
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field
proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an early years setting, preferably in a Reggio Emilia inspired environment
excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with staff, parents and external stakeholders
strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
A reflective and proactive approach to professional development, keeping up-to-date with current research and best practices in early childhood education
A commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality within the nursery setting
A deep understanding of how children learn through their interests and fascinations, and the ability to consistently facilitate learning through this approach
