Responsibility
- manage a portfolio of clients, including planning and delivering audits, and providing ongoing advice and support
- evaluate key risks, identify gaps and review the effectiveness of current control measures
- review audit work and ensure it is performed to a suitable standard, in line with Group methodologies
- you will work closely with senior management to ensure that audits are delivered to a high standard, within budget and deadline
- act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service
- manage and coach a team of auditors, providing guidance and support as required
- perform change assurance activity over the Group’s transformation, portfolio management and key programs, attending key governance committees and steering committees
- developing the IT audit plan in consultation with Group and banner stakeholders
Requirements
- an ACA/ACCA/CIA qualification or working towards completion of one
- A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CIPFA or equivalent is desirable but not essential
- an ACA/ACCA/CIA qualification
- educated to degree level or equivalent
- at least 3 years of internal audit in the financial sector from industry and/or professional services
- at least 7 years of internal audit in the financial sector from industry and/or professional services
- A recognized financial or auditing professional qualification
- ideally experience in IT change management or at least exposure to and a strong interest in this area
