FORFAR OUT OF SCHOOL CLUB is looking for employees for positions:

care manager

Responsibility

  • oversee the delivery and day-to-day management of the breakfast, after school, and holiday clubs
  • provide line management for a team of support staff, fostering their professional growth through supervision, induction, and development
  • develop and maintain engaging, creative play opportunities in line with children's developmental needs
  • ensure all operations comply with safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards
  • handle all aspects of administration and finance for the club, including record keeping, bookings, and fee collection
  • maintain effective communication with parents, school staff, local authorities, and the committee
  • promote and market LOSC to maintain and grow occupancy levels
  • plan and lead diverse activities for children aged 3-11 years, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment

Requirements

  • proven experience in managing childcare, play, or educational settings
  • relevant qualifications in childcare or education SCQF level 9 or working towards
  • A strong understanding of child development and the Curriculum for Excellence
  • leadership skills to inspire and motivate a team
  • excellent organisational and communication abilities
  • commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • registration with the Scottish Social Services Council or ability to register within the specified time frame
  • management: 2 years
