care manager
Responsibility
- oversee the delivery and day-to-day management of the breakfast, after school, and holiday clubs
- provide line management for a team of support staff, fostering their professional growth through supervision, induction, and development
- develop and maintain engaging, creative play opportunities in line with children's developmental needs
- ensure all operations comply with safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards
- handle all aspects of administration and finance for the club, including record keeping, bookings, and fee collection
- maintain effective communication with parents, school staff, local authorities, and the committee
- promote and market LOSC to maintain and grow occupancy levels
- plan and lead diverse activities for children aged 3-11 years, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment
Requirements
- proven experience in managing childcare, play, or educational settings
- relevant qualifications in childcare or education SCQF level 9 or working towards
- A strong understanding of child development and the Curriculum for Excellence
- leadership skills to inspire and motivate a team
- excellent organisational and communication abilities
- commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- registration with the Scottish Social Services Council or ability to register within the specified time frame
- management: 2 years
