Responsibility

  • to shift lead ensuring care workers are supported
  • to manage care workers on shift
  • to provide supervision for Care Workers
  • to have oversight of each residents’ activities
  • to make key decisions regarding the management of each shift
  • to have oversight of any incidents which occur on shift
  • to support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of the home
  • to lead by example

Requirements

  • this includes the management of care staff on shift and planning of young people’s activities
  • residential Childcare: 1 year
  • the role of a Senior Children’s Residential Care Worker is to take responsibility of the day-to-day care of children residing within our residential homes as well as have oversight of each shift worked
  • the overall purpose of the role is to support children’s challenging behaviours and help them come to terms with previous life experiences whilst working towards their eventual independence
  • this involves adhering to safeguarding procedures, working as part of a team to towards shared objectives and demonstrating working practice in line with the company’s ethos and values
