Reviews FLORENCE BELL GALLERY

Bought three artworks from them over a period of 18 months about two to three years ago.Very plausible stories about how the artworks are good investments as artist connected with David Hockney. One suggested onward sale which encouraged me to purchase one work never materialised. Now I have three paintings which are interesting but probably overpriced. And I have asked for proof of provenance which another gallery says is usual and Florence Bell say that is unnecessary and they will not provide history of the works . Can't be too difficult to provide but they refuse. They took advantage of my naivety so probably my fault but really Florence Bell in Eltham are not to be trusted if they can't give what I now understand is common title material which should accompany any substantial art work. Has anyone had similar experience?

Horrifically bad company , staff suggested name changes for Muslims workers and happy to scam people
