Requirements
- demonstrated ability, application and experience of overhauling engines and rebuilding back to OEM specification
- meticulous planning, recording of information with an focus on tolerances and root cause approach to engine repair
- ability to communicate at all levels with technical and non-technical colleagues, customers, and suppliers
- A valid gas safe qualification like COCN1,CGFE1 & ICPN1 is desirable
- experience of commissioning of engines post rebuild is essential
- desirable to have the skills and experience to retune the AFR systems on large gas engines
- A recognised apprenticeship with OEM engine manufacturer, shipping, HGV or industrial mechanical maintenance discipline or have had at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the power generation industry
- must have a full UK Driving licence
Responsibility
- carry out in depth assessments on generating assets preservice contract award ensuring any faults are noted and fed into the Job watch platform
- liaise with the warehouse team ensuring all specialist tooling for rebuild is in good condition, calibrated and ready to deploy
