- mix mortar if site requires and spread it onto a slab or foundation
- use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels to shape bricks and stones
- cut bricks or stones to fit around windows and doors
- apply weatherproofing materials to finished surfaces
- clean excess mortar from finished work
Requirements
- proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role
- strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
- ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
- proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity
- attention to detail and precision in work
- ability to work independently or as part of a team
- masonry: Proficiency in various masonry techniques such as bricklaying, blocklaying, and stonemasonry
