FIVE PAWS is looking for employees for positions:

apprentice

  • apprentice

Responsibility

  • assist with the daily care of animals in the kennel and cattery facilities
  • feed, water, and exercise animals according to schedules and specific instructions
  • clean and sanitize kennels and cat pens, and animal holding areas
  • monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to senior staff
  • assist with administering medications as directed by senior staff
  • interact with pet owners, as necessary, and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

  • experience in handling dogs and/or cats
  • passion for working with animals and providing compassionate care
  • ability to perform lifting as needed
  • prior experience in customer service is a plus
  • knowledge of veterinary practices or animal care is advantageous
