Responsibility

  • the successful candidate will be able to cook delicious healthy lunches and help children to develop positive relationships with food
  • individuals will be responsible for good cleaning a hygiene levels, following HACAP procedures and preparing menus
  • we are looking for an experienced cook to join our nursery kitchen in Treforest. We want to welcome a passionate and friendly catering individual to join our busy team creating home cooked meals from scratch
  • this position if for 20 hours per week, working 4 hours per day 10am-2pm
  • they need to be committed and passionate about creating nutritious and balanced meals for babies and young children whilst being able to juggling a busy kitchen
  • candidates should hold a current food hygiene certificate and will subject to an enhanced DBS check
  • dealing with environmental health visits will be part of the job role as well as maintaining our level 5 score in your kitchen
  • the position is for a cook to work alone in the kitchen therefore you would have sole responsibility for the kitchen and everything in it
