Responsibility

  • FITCO are part of Pentland Brands
  • reporting directly into the Head of Fitco Retail, the successful candidate will be able to show excellent technical accounting knowledge and will drive continuous improvement of reporting, financial systems and controls and working capital and cashflow reporting and forecasting
  • the successful candidate will need to have a vision to continuously improve processes and outputs and define financial systems and processes that are high quality and efficient to operate
  • operating in 400+ self-service retail outlets throughout the UK, stocking the world’s leading performance sports brands such as Under Armour and Speedo within a network of Health Club partners such as David Lloyd and Virgin Active
  • ensure FITCO business works to Group accounting rules & policy, ensuring consistent delivery across all areas
  • lead month end and deliver all required month end submissions into Group
  • maintain Fitco Chart of accounts and operation of the accounting system
  • complete year end process and ensure compliance with statutory and tax reporting requirements and FRS 102 for Group and Subsidiary companies, with overall responsibility for accurate provision of statutory accounts
