Responsibility
- the Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring that First Call HSQ Limited's Clients employees are safe while working
- this position will be responsible for ensuring that the employees are following all safety guidelines and requirements
- performing health, safety, and environmental reviews of new starters, equipment, supplies, and materials
- inspecting new hire equipment and supplies before they arrive at work sites
- identifying any defects, unsafe components, or shortages that need to be repaired or replaced
- inspecting customer equipment before it arrives at work sites for quality control purposes
- maintaining records of all repairs and replacements made on customer equipment as well as logs of lost and/or stolen items
- the position will also be responsible for documenting any incidents that occur on the job, and communicating those issues to the supervisor
Requirements
- H&S Degree or equivalent required
- previous experience in a constrction safety related role ideal but not required
- must possess the ability to deal effectively with internal external problems
- must possess the ability to interpret complex information and make independent decisions
- must possess the ability to analyze data and make decisions based on facts
- must be able to follow instructions and complete assignments without assistance
- health and Safety: 5 years
- health and Safety: 2 years
