no qualifications are needed so just basic experience
conduct visual appraisals of buildings and structures to identify any visible signs of structural defects or damage
perform physical surveys, including measurements, inspections, and assessments, to gather accurate data about the condition and stability of the structures
analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports outlining the findings, including recommendations for repairs, maintenance, or further investigations
stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and high-quality surveying work
we currently have a large contract in Lincoln for Stock Condition Surveys. It is an ongoing contract with full time work. These are simple housing properties
at Firntec we currently require a sub-contractor who is able to carry out stock condition surveys on the buildings and fire equipment for our customers. The job is in Lincoln and needs to start ASAP
communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, providing clear explanations of survey results and recommendations
Requirements
high ranking qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
proven experience as a Structural Surveyor or similar role, with a strong understanding of building construction, materials, and structural systems
proficiency in conducting visual appraisals and physical surveys, using relevant equipment and tools
solid knowledge of surveying techniques, data analysis, and report writing
excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
professional certification or licensure in surveying or engineering is a plus
