the Bakery Manager will directly manage all aspects of bakery production, reviewing production needs on a daily basis
you will plan accordingly ensuring our products are produced, packed and distributed in accordance with our impeccable quality and safety
proficiency in Baking/Chef industry skills i.e City & Guilds Level 3
we have been trading for nearly four years and urgently seek an experienced Bakery Manager to manage the smooth and efficient running of our handmade, artisan bakery and to take charge of the bakery operations
we are always interested in those of good character and high capability from all walks of life however the ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications
you will have management of a small team through supervisors, including: rota management, absences, performance feedback, probation reviews and job chats

prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards
assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences
ensure all food production meets quality standards for taste, appearance, and safety
maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods
monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock
participate in training new kitchen staff on pastry preparation techniques and best practices
Requirements
proven experience in food production or preparation within a restaurant or culinary setting, with specific experience in baking preferred
strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality
excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
A passion for culinary arts with a creative flair for developing unique pastry offerings
strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
