Responsibility

• be part of a self-managed team
• operate mechanical test equipment to produce tests in accordance with customer and internationally recognised standards
• utilise the Information Systems within the area to produce reports and communications

• protect the safety of yourself and all staff and other stakeholders by ensuring that all employees comply with safety processes and procedures
• preparation of data to complete reports for routine analysis, trials programme and diagnostic interpretation
• ensure that the environmental impact of operations at the site are minimized by following processes, procedures and policies as defined by the Organisation
• mentoring and coaching of non-technical personnel in terms of operational performance
• prepare and complete recognised tests on specimens such as grain size measurement, presence of oxidation layer…) and report the results in a timely manner
• prepare specimens to enable the microstructural analysis to be completed in a timely manner and all data recorded in the correct location
• utilise statistical tools that have been developed and partake in team working exercises to further improve the laboratory and business operations

Requirements

• A Laboratory technical degree in Metallurgy or equivalent would be preferred
