Requirements
- to be responsible for the preparation of food, in line with agreed menus and cleaning of kitchen equipment
- maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times, following regulations, policies and procedures
- ensure efficient communication with all staff
- in consultation with the Nursery Manager, be responsible for the preparation of seasonal menus
- in conjunction with the Nursery Management team, assist in monitoring and controlling all catering costs
- always be polite and friendly to children, parents and carers
- to be responsible and lead on any inspections relating to the kitchen rea
- ensure the nutritional and dietary needs of the children are met and adhere to recommended portion sizes dependant on the ages of the children
Responsibility
- any other duties as required by the Nursery Manager within the scope and spirit of the role
- you will report to the Management Team as appropriate
