Responsibility
- follow the vision of the MD regarding the business offering and ensure that the services delivered are aligned with that vision
- manage teams and heads of departments to ensure the smooth running of all operational departments in your purview
- collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure that cross-function and department communication is clear
- monitor and manage Customer Service operations and ensure customers are communicated within a business-appropriate fashion
- implement robust client retention strategies and ensure adherence within each department
- collect, analyse, and report on statistical information for the areas of the business in your control
- report directly to the MD and work effectively, professionally, and collaboratively with other members of the Fanela business regardless of their position
- devise, improve and implement processes and procedures to ensure the smooth running of logistics, warehouse, customer service, and partner operations
Requirements
- minimum 10 years’ experience required in a commercial operations role, managing teams & departments
- proven success in a previous Operations Manager role or similar
- refined ability to delegate responsibilities and provide leadership and training to key personnel
- advanced written and verbal communication skills
- possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation and decision-making
- knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management in complex scenarios
- experience budgeting and forecasting
- familiarity with business and financial principles
