Responsibility
- assist in the preparation and cooking of food to standards that satisfy current food hygiene and safety legislation and regulations
- post Title : Part-Time Cook
- hours of duty: Bi-Weekly shift pattern
- every employee has a responsibility to ensure that their work complies with the Financial Regulations of the charity
- all employees are required by Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions
- to assist in the preparation of a daily evening meal for up to 30 residents
- ensure that the fridges and freezers are defrosted, well maintained and all items stored in them are labeled and kept on appropriate shelves
Requirements
- must be over the age of 18
- experience of working on your own initiative to deliver a high-quality service
- willingness to undergo a satisfactory enhanced DBS check
- the ability to work proactively and with limited direct supervision
- level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or higher
- ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends
