Responsibility

  • working with internal package teams and other stakeholders to scope packages of work across the project life cycle
  • planning and managing the communication of product specifications for tenders
  • identifying requirements for long-term framework agreements and, directly and through an experienced team of experts, negotiating competitive terms
  • the role requires an individual with substantial Commercial and Contract Management experience in offshore wind
  • leading supply chain development activity for the project in collaboration with supply chain and local content managers
  • preparing all tendering documentation and processes in accordance with the prevailing legislation
  • managing negotiations to achieve the most favourable prices, quality, delivery time, risk sharing, etc
  • influencing project teams to incorporate the commercial objectives for the project into their planning and execution activities

Requirements

  • extensive professional experience in tendering and procurement for an offshore windfarm
  • extensive professional experience in contracts and claims management of an offshore windfarm
  • good all-round understanding of financial, commercial, and business principles and risk mitigation practices
  • thorough understanding of the complex commercial and technical requirements related to supply of products/materials and services to offshore wind projects
  • knowledge of NAECI, COMAH regulations is preferred
  • analyse and forecast how the supply chain capability and capacity for offshore wind is likely to develop over the next decade
  • appropriate skills to negotiate and deal with people
  • A general technical understanding and experience of the construction process, including design, fabrication and installation in order to work effectively with construction, operations and technical teams
