fabricator welder
Responsibility
- assemble components according to specifications and engineering drawings
- weld materials using various techniques, including stick welding, to create strong joints
- fabricate metal parts and structures from sheet metal and other materials as required
- operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the fabrication process
- conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards
- maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise
Requirements
- proven experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
- excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement within the production process
- welding fabrication / maintenance: 5 years
