Responsibility
- we are an independent DIY/timber yard located in the Middlesbrough area
- we are looking to recruit a Delivery driver/yard assistant
- the role will initially involve working 40 hours per week Monday to Saturday with an agreed day off during the week
- it may evolve and include working on a Sunday
- taking deliveries and storing them in the yard/warehouse in a safe and timely manner
- the majority of the working week will be spent working in the yard and the weekends delivering to customers
- keeping the yard tidy and in order
- preparing and loading deliveries onto the vehicle
Requirements
- current fork lift licence
- full clean UK driving licence
- ability to work in a busy environment, manage multiple tasks and be able to organise
- due to the demands of the job, be physically fit, of tidy appearance and be comfortable dealing with the public
- have a strong work ethic
- have a positive can-do attitude, be reliable and capable of working as part of a small team
