Responsibility
- make risk assessments by analysing, identifying, describing and estimated the risk affecting the business
- disseminate and cascade the intention and objectives of the Risk Committee
- produce guidance documents and risk policies to meet the RCo requirements
- in collaboration with EUSL’s Board establish and quantify EUSL’s risk appetite
- conduct periodic review of risk polices to ensure they are compliant with applicable laws and regulations
- develop with the first line a framework of Key Performance Indicators , Control Indicators and Risk Indicators , providing an early warning of threats to the achievement of Strategic Objectives
- identify and assess risks arising from the non-adherence to applicable laws and regulations
- maintain the EUSL Group/Strategic Risk Register
Requirements
- must have previous experience in developing and embedding risk frameworks within the insurance sector
- experience in Training the 1LOD in best risk management practices
- A sound understanding of the Managing General Agent model specifically in relation to risk management
- A sound knowledge of risk assessment and control
- experience with risk auditing and reporting
- knowledge of industry compliance standards and applicable laws and regulations
- analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- risk management: 5 years
