- A-Level Chemistry or equivalent
- 1 year minimum in relevant function
- current Driving Licence
Responsibility
- ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory and laboratory magazines
- as directed, carry out, laboratory testing of raw materials, intermediates, final products and materials for recycling to the required standards
- assist with all environmental and effluent sampling and analysis
- assist in the preparation of other chemicals
- maintenance of laboratory stocks to include red bags and magazine stored explosives, ensuring that high standards of housekeeping are followed
- test firing of Explosives. Assisting in demonstration for shot firing courses and other explosive engineering activities
- assist with the review of COSHH assessments
- assist with the review of risk assessments, reporting of accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions
