Responsibility
this role enables our clients to maintain compliance with legislation and ultimately enhance their environmental performance
based within the EMS Advisory Team, you will work proactively to provide environmental guidance and support to a vast range of industrial business’
this means leading and executing audits, applying for and achieving permits and licenses, providing legislation advice and outlining the steps required to adhere to the relevant legislation, and producing environmental procedures and documentation; often acting as Environmental Manager to our clients
the Principal Consultant will have management responsibility for the team whilst continuing to sharpen their skills in the evolving field of environmental consultancy; leaning on and learning from peers and business leadership whilst sharing their own knowledge with others in the business
in return, the Principal position offers opportunity to delve further into technical expertise or advance into higher operational management, depending on your individual career goals
Requirements
full, clean UK driving licence to travel to client sites
A proven people developer who comfortable with providing technical delivery and expertise to clients whilst managing a dynamic and flourishing team
excellent organisational and time-management skills with demonstrable experience of managing several projects at any one time
proficient reporting and written skills articulating technical details to a range of stakeholders
proactive and ambitious character, able to successfully meet client expectations and tackle challenges in a positive and commercially astute way
relevant undergraduate/ postgraduate degree in environmental science, management or similar with Chartered Membership with IEMA, or an interest in working towards with continued professional development
