Responsibility
- assisting in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures
- completing regular site visits to live projects to ensure employees are adhering to internal health and safety standards
- maintaining risk assessments to ensure that they are suitable and sufficient, and in place across the business
- the Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for day-to-day safety activities to ensure compliance with current legislation and internal procedures, and for promoting a positive safety culture at all levels
- monitoring internal training, including the development and delivery of training course and toolbox talks
- the role will requires a combination of office based activities in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire as well as regular travel throughout the United Kingdom to witness site-based activities and to assist regional offices with safety related tasks
- administration of internal health and safety records to ensure that they are kept up to date
- maintaining the company’s SSIP certifications and assisting in the maintenance of the health and safety management system
