liaising with and processing information from staff, managers and directors to facilitate the production of asbestos survey reports
filing documentation using the existing electronic filing system, ensuring it is kept organised and well maintained
ad hoc admin duties as required
liaising with, and processing information from, other departments, managers and directors thus ensuring customer requirements are met
laboratory technician
Education
A-Level or equivalent
bachelor's
Responsibility
carrying out chemical analyses, with a focus on soil and water testing, in accordance with UKAS and internal quality standards
performing microbiological analysis in accordance with ISO 17025, our management system, and in-house methods
maintaining accurate and organised laboratory records and documentation
ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the laboratory environment
maintaining laboratory standards through general tasks such as cleaning, stock checks, waste disposal, and monitoring air and temperature levels
preparing and conducting quality control checks on media to ensure accuracy in testing
using and maintaining laboratory equipment, with support from technical staff
assisting with calibration, servicing, and record-keeping for laboratory equipment
