Responsibility
- if successful, you will undergo onsite training on how to maintain and repair a variety of plant and heavy machinery equipment
- this position will involve shadowing an experience welder, and in future may lead to enrolment on an advanced welding training course
- undertaking inspections and repairs on a large fleet of skips and boxes
- undertaking the repair and maintenance on a variety of plant and heavy machinery equipment
- undertaking various fabrication projects required within the operation
- working closely with Workshop Manager, following repair plans and working independently to achieve these goals
- meeting deadlines as required
- compliance with company health and safety policies and guidance documentation
Requirements
- no Agencies Please
- full UK driving licence
- ability to work well and safely in a team
- possess a ‘can do’ attitude
- proven experience in metal fabrication and knowledge of pipework would be advantageous
- strong communication skills
- initiative and the ability to work unsupervised
- strong MIG and ARC welding skills shown through weld test if required
