Responsibility
- main role would be the TIG Welding of Super Duplex pipework to a high standard of workmanship
- optional/additional roles would include assisting fabricators/pipefitters with the preparation of pipework and structural steel, plus MIG welding of structural steelwork
- follow workshop safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
- perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG , TIG, and stick welding
- operate and maintain welding equipment and tools
- ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications
- collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications
Requirements
- proven experience as a Welder
- proficient in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- knowledge of welding codes and standards
- strong attention to detail and accuracy
- physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in various positions for extended periods of time
- duplex Pipework Welding: 1 year
- MIG welding: 3 years
- stainless Steel Pipework Welding: 5 years
Contract type
- mechanical knowledge and understanding of pipe systems
- ability to read and interpret weld procedure specifications and technical drawings
- prior experience in Duplex pipe welding or similar exotic steels preferred
- strong attention to detail and quality control
- physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift materials
- excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
