Responsibility
- rectify breakdowns on plant and machinery
- diagnose and rectify electrical faults on plant and machinery
- assist with installation and commissioning of new plant and machinery

- to ensure planned and reactive maintenance is carried out to the required standard and to schedule. Fault find, fix, repair machinery, and plant, safely to standard within time
- to be able to coordinate and cooperate with production supervisors on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the smooth running and availability of plant and equipment
- working as part of the shift engineering team your primary objective will be to ensure maximum machinery uptime, this will be completed mostly by attending breakdowns, fault finding and repairing on a range of machinery/systems
- to actively support and engage in continuous improvement projects and ensures the sustainability of these activities through the promotion of best operational practices
- you will also be involved in project work, which could include machinery installations, improvements or upgrades, factory relocation and extensions and more
- working as part of the engineering team, your objective will be to ensure the efficient running of all production machinery, in turn, meaning the production output targets are met

- full apprenticeship or suitable experience in a similar role/environment
- ISOH/HSE or IPAF training preferred but not mandatory
- previous experience working as a multi skilled maintenance engineer in a production manufacturing facility
- experienced maintenance engineer, competent with fault finding and repairing on electrical/mechanical systems
- have previous experience working within a FMCG/Heavy and Industrial environment
- experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment or similar
- several years experience working within a FMCG environment
- experienced multi skilled engineer with a mechanical or electrical bias
- several years experience working as a multiskilled maintenance engineer within a manufacturing or similar environment
- at least 2 years experience working as a multiskilled maintenance engineer with a FMCG or similar environment
- electrically biased- comfortable working on a range of industrial electrical systems
- multi skilled with an electrical, though we would consider applicants that are mechanically biased
- previous experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment beneficial
- must be a team player and willing to fit in with the family style ethos of the maintenance engineer team
- have an understanding & knowledge of PLC and HMI instrumentation
- hold a level 3 NVQ or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- previous experience working in a similar position
- comfortable handling electrical faults on an automated site
- willingness to grow and develop with the business and ambition to progress
- qualified in a relevant electrical discipline
- strong fault finding and repair skills
- multi skilled with a bias towards electrical engineering
- ability to work and deliver under pressure, prioritizing workload
- be ambitious, enthusiastic and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- fabrication skills will be an advantage

- apprenticeship trained or Level 3 qualified in Electrical Engineering
