Requirements

  • degree qualified in a mechanical engineering or similar technical discipline
  • proficient in the use of 2D and 3D CAD software to produce models and technical drawings
  • good working knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes
  • strong mathematical and analytical capability, ideally working to energy industry standards; DNV, ABS, API, ISO, etc
  • familiar with design, analysis and simulation packages such as; Ansys, MathCAD, Nastran, Creo Simulate

Responsibility

  • design, development and qualification of equipment for the energy and offshore industry
  • production of models and drawings using 3D CAD software
  • perform design calculations and generate reports; both hand and computational simulation
  • review drawings and calculations of other engineers
  • liaise with customers and suppliers
  • collaborate with other business functions to ensure a smooth transition within projects
  • acting as a lead engineer on selected projects and work scopes
