- based in the north-east we boast an impressive portfolio of clients with experience across a wide range of sectors including local authority, residential, infrastructure, education and commercial
- elvet have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is motivated, ambitious and professional to complement our team The role will be in our Durham office at Portland House, Belmont Business Park, DH1 1TW
- assist with the preparation of feasibility studies, cost plans etc., during the early stages of a project
- assist in the preparation of tender documents, including tender evaluation on behalf of our clients
- assist in the preparation of pricing documents for tender documents
- support colleagues in Contract Administration / Employers Agents role
- assist in the preparation of schedule of works
Education
- bachelor's
Requirements
- minimum qualification is BSc Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 1 year post graduate experience
- working towards MRICS designation
- demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- able to work as part of a team or unsupervised
- strong analytical skills and able to demonstrate technical and commercial acumen
- possess a clean driving licence and transport
- surveying: 1 year
- good team working skills and ability to communicate well at all levels
