Responsibility
- develop and implement comprehensive training programs in line with the Rail Training Assurance Scheme rules and NSAR Quality Assurance standards
- ensure all training programs meet the RTAS requirements, which include Network Rail training, assessment, and competence solutions
- oversee and manage the training team to ensure high-quality delivery of training sessions
- coordinate and liaise with NSAR, the sole entity assessing RTAS training providers, to maintain compliance and continually improve training effectiveness
- monitor and evaluate training programs, making improvements where necessary
- manage the process of obtaining funded learning opportunities and maintain relationships with funding bodies
- develop individual and group training plans to align with organisational goals
- maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and assessments
Requirements
- proven experience within the rail industry
- in-depth knowledge of RTAS rules and NSAR Quality Assurance standards
- experience in developing, implementing, and managing training programs
- strong understanding of obtaining and managing funded learning opportunities
- excellent leadership and organisational skills
- strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- certified Training Professional or equivalent qualification is desirable
