installation engineer
Responsibility
- install, test and maintain fibre to the premises networks
- underground cabling in BT Openreach ducts
- install aerial cable from CBT/ASN/Splitter Box on BT Poles to customer side
- perform splicing and testing to make it ready for highspeed Gigabit broadband service to end customers
- use testing equipment, and work with the Tech team to rectify issues with customer connections
- use of power meter and providing test results
- work collaboratively with other engineers, supervisors, and coordinators to complete tasks efficiently and safely
- self-audit and upload site set-up, risk assessment, and installation pictures as per the Operator’s requirement
Requirements
- at least 1 year of proven experience in fibre-to-home installations in the UK
- full UK driving license
- IPAF, First Aid and Confined Space Medium certifications are beneficial
- competent in using technology, including devices and apps, to complete the daily tasks on the portal
- dedication to delivering high-level and professional customer service
- educating customers on full-fibre broadband and addressing any queries
- ability to take direction from management and carry out work in an efficient and timely manner
- fibre Home Installation: 1 year
