  • the role will be further defined by annual objectives, which will be developed with the role holder
  • be pro-active in matters relating to health and safety and report accidents as required

Education

  • QTS or PGCE desirable although relevant experience will also be considered
  • experience of teaching/supporting ASDANs, AQA Unit Awards and Arts Awards Desirable
  • ensure that curriculum assessment, monitoring and evaluation systems are followed
  • experience of working with young people with special needs essential
  • work with students on identified areas of improvement whilst promoting and following the school values of respect, kindness and growth
  • educated to Degree Level or equivalent essential, or able to evidence ability at equivalent level
  • to work in partnership with the Principal and all colleagues to provide pastoral care to pupils as required
  • competence in a range of IT tools and packages

  • the successful candidate will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service
