Responsibility

  • to be sensitive to the needs of individual young people, taking account of race, language, religion, sexuality and culture
  • to talk and listen to young people, monitoring their behaviour and recording significant features

Requirements

  • level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care; or equivalent would be beneficial but not essential
  • ● Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care; or equivalent would be beneficial
  • level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care; or equivalent would be beneficial
  • demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development
  • recent and relevant experience working as a Support Worker in a residential children’s home
  • recent and relevant experience working as a SW in a residential children’s home

  • understanding Safeguarding and your role in Working together to safeguard children
