Responsibility
- coordinate and communicate with the design team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with project plans
- oversee health and safety regulations and ensure all site personnel adhere to them at all times
- monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent delays or cost overruns
- conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
- manage the delivery and storage of materials and equipment on site, ensuring that they are properly secured and protected
- maintain accurate project records, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and incident reports
- manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality
- liaise with local authorities and utility companies as required to ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary permits
Requirements
- proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally with a background in commercial to residential conversions
- excellent knowledge of construction processes, procedures, and standards
- strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
- good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to implement and enforce them on site
- experience in managing project budgets and schedules
- A relevant construction qualification or equivalent experience
