Responsibility
- assist in the mentoring and induction of new staff
- observe, assess and record children’s development in line with Nursery procedures and the EYFS
- to ensure that the children’s dietary needs are met
- to assist in giving appropriate physical,emotional, intellectual, social and behavioural guidance to children including those with identified special needs
- assist the SENCO in co-ordinating learning though play, and supporting the parents and staff in it implementation and evaluation
- creating an environment designed to provide for the well-being of children and babies attending the Nursery and to ensure that their physical, social, emotional, educational and play needs are met
- be an active member of the Nursery team, working with colleagues to achieve the aims and objectives of the Nursery
- be aware of all aspects of safety and security in relation to children attending the Nursery and ensure Nursery procedures are followed
Requirements
- at least 1 year post qualifying experience as part of a nursery management team
- working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and its implementation, and Ofsted requirements
