Responsibility
- working alongside an experienced team of developers to maintain and drive forward the Ebuyer and AlphaSync websites and internal supporting systems
- these range from legacy LAMP stacks to more recent RESTful PHP APIs
- at Ebuyer you will have the opportunity to be a part of an exciting, dynamic company that is heavily investing in the future of its IT department
- in this role you will be working on our existing systems to ensure the business is able to maintain its position in the market
- you will be involved in driving the business forward using the latest software design principles when creating new systems to either add or replace functionality
Requirements
- would have at least 3 years of experience in a software development team, irrespective of technologies used within that team
- have previously mentored teams and a willingness to mentor the team and share knowledge
- comfortable using Linux for day-to-day development
- have used a code review process to discuss and evaluate code
- willing to work with legacy code
- 2 years of experience in Object Oriented PHP development, using modern PHP MVC frameworks, particularly Zend/Laminas, however knowledge of Symfony and others will be considered
- able to write clean code following current best practices and agreed-upon standards
