Responsibility

  • we require an experienced Chef / Cook for our highly regarded and quality driven elderly care home in East Lothian
  • you will be responsible for the monthly budget and food ordering. You will also be responsible for the EHO requirements and paperwork for the kitchen

Requirements

  • we require an experienced Chef/Cook for our highly regarded and quality driven elderly care home in the Eat Lothian area
  • ideally you will hold a current HACCP qualification and have experience of developing nutritious and appealing menus for our residents
  • you will be required to produce 3 meals a day including preparation for supper and home baking
  • kitchen experience: 1 year
  • leading a kitchen team: 2 years
  • the home has great links within the local community, and loves to invite relatives and visitors to sample some of the excellent home cooked produce, and share this with our residents
  • food produced must be made to nutritional guidelines and you will have a working knowledge of textured foods, requirements for diabetes, fortification of foods for those who are frail etc
