  • you will be responsible for accurate data collection, monitoring, and analysis, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards

  • conduct detailed earthworks surveys, including topographic and volumetric surveys, to support construction and infrastructure projects
  • establish control points and benchmarks for accurate geospatial positioning and measurements
  • conduct surveys to determine ground conditions, including soil and rock characteristics, slopes, and drainage patterns
  • we are currently seeking a talented and experienced Earthworks Surveyor to join our team at one of the largest civil engineering firms in the North East
  • monitor and assess earthwork operations, including excavation, grading, and compaction, to ensure compliance with project specifications
  • as an Earthworks Surveyor, you will play a vital role in overseeing and conducting surveys related to earthworks and ground engineering projects

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • proven experience as an Earthworks Surveyor in the civil engineering or construction industry
  • proficiency in using surveying instruments and equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, laser scanners, and drones
  • strong knowledge of earthworks and ground engineering principles, including excavation, grading, compaction, and slope stability
  • familiarity with surveying software and CAD tools for data processing and design
  • ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis
