Responsibility

  • the Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight
  • the Driver will deliver and pick up fresh and frozen products to Southside fencing and decking locations in the assigned territory
  • deliver and pick up fresh and frozen products to Glasgow locations in the assigned territory
  • this position will also be responsible for assisting with loading and unloading of trucks, as well as general truck work
  • inspect vehicles each day to determine mechanical needs and serviceability concerns and perform preventative maintenance
  • plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • comply with truck driving rules, regulations, and company policies
  • maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

Requirements

  • high School Diploma or GED preferred; vocational program or college course suitable to gain knowledge of truck driving rules, regulations, and procedures preferred
  • driving: 3 years
