bar staff
Responsibility
- prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
- provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and responding to inquiries
- maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces
- ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines
- assist in managing inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed
- collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable
- handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- uphold a positive atmosphere by contributing to team morale and supporting fellow staff members
Requirements
- strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to help customers enjoy their experience
- previous bartending experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs effectively
- experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not mandatory
- excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
