- duties include but not limited to
- MRP order placement
- audit of suppliers
- identify and develop new suppliers based on capability, quality, lead time and price
- expedite orders to ensure compliance with delivery schedules, price and quality
- investigate NCR issues
- establish tiered supplier network
Requirements
- an in-depth knowledge of machined component manufacturing processes
- minimum of 5 years in a purchasing role
- experience of functioning within an ISO9001 environment
- CIPS Level 5 or equivalent
- results driven with strong communication and negotiation skills
- project Management skills
- ability to read and understand technical drawings
- supplier costs management and techniques
